LED Floor Hire For Trapstar At Selfridges

Dynamo LED Displays recently provided the LED Floor rental used at Selfridges for the album signing and launch of Dave’s new album “We’re All Alone in This Together“.  We recently invested in an additional amount of 2.06mm LED floor for our rental applications and we also have a line of interactive LED floor with in built sensors that can be used to integrate with custom software showing movement when walked upon for example.

The Brand and Artist

The event was put together by Trapstar, the clothing brand favoured by artists such as Rihanna, Stormzy A$AP Rocky and many more that was founded by Mikey Trapstar in West London and went on to be the first ever clothing brand to be signed by the billionaire rap mogul Jay-Z’s label Roc Nation. Meanwhile Dave AKA “Santan Dave” has taken the UK rap scene by storm with hits such as Funky Friday ft. Fredo which reached number 1 in UK charts and Location ft. Burner Boy which reached number 6.

The Installation Process

Following on from Dynamo LED Displays’ last visit to Selfridges where we installed LED tickers for Paco Rabanne in the window of Oxford Street as well as on the indoor concourse and at additional stores in both Birmingham and Manchester Dynamo this time installed the LED floor within just 3 hours ready for Dave to sign Trapstar merchandise for his adoring fans.

The Tech

The LED floor was made up of high resolution 2.5mm LED floor tiles capable of showing sharp images and ultra colourful video. Made up of a 6 x 5 array of 500mm x 500mm LED floor tiles the display was controlled by a media player that was set to play custom content that was designed along the same theme as Dave’s album cover.
